WESCO Holds 20th Matriculation Ceremony for 2025/2026 Academic Year

Wesley College of Education, Kumasi (WESCO), successfully hosted its 20th Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 Academic Year on Saturday, 28th February 2026, at the Brew Riverson Hall at exactly 9:00 AM.

The ceremony formally inducted 425 newly admitted students into the College, marking the beginning of their academic and professional journey in teacher education. The matriculants comprised 173 males and 252 females, reflecting the College’s continued commitment to inclusive access to higher education.

Primary Education recorded the highest enrolment with 83 students, followed by French & English (54) and both English & Ghanaian Language and Maths/ICT with 49 students each.

The Matriculation Ceremony signifies the official acceptance of students into the College community and their pledge to abide by the rules, regulations, and academic standards of Wesley College of Education.

In his address, Management emphasized discipline, academic excellence, professional ethics, and commitment to service as key pillars for success in teacher education. The newly admitted students were encouraged to remain focused, resilient, and committed to their training as future educators.

The ceremony was attended by Management, faculty, staff, student leaders, parents, and guests, making it a memorable and dignified occasion.
