Quality Assurance Unit

The vision of Wesley College of Education is to become a pacesetting college in the training of a new kind of teacher for Ghana. One of the strategies to ensure the attainment of the vision is the setting up of the quality assurance unit to monitor academic performance. The unit submits a report to the Principal at the end of each semester.

The Role of the Quality Assurance Unit

The quality assurance unit performs the following roles:

  1. Moderation of assignments, quizzes and mid-semester examination test items
  2. Examination of Teaching Practice scores for level 400
  3. Examination of level 400 project work scores
  4. Ensuring availability and use of teaching/learning resources/facilities
  5. Appointment of academic counselors for students
  6. Evaluation of academic counselors
  7. Appraisal of teachers
  8. Analysis of end of semester examination results and identifying areas for improvement
  9. Monitoring of on-campus teaching practice (OCTP)
  10. Making recommendations for relevant textbooks for the library
