Wesley College of Education, Kumasi, has reached another milestone in educational technology after securing an international grant to advance Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration in teacher education. The College’s Science Department has successfully secured a grant of CAD 17,500 to fund the next phase of its pioneering work in digital literacy. Wesley College of Education has achieved a major research milestone following the award of an international Foundational Learning Research Grant to a project led by Dr. Eric Atta Quainoo, a lecturer of the College. The research project has secured funding amounting to US$10,042.73. It is supported by Education Sub-Saharan Africa (ESSA) in collaboration with the REAL Centre, University of Cambridge, with funding from the Gates Foundation and GPE KIX. Wesley College of Education has received a Toyota Prado vehicle as part of a nationwide initiative to strengthen operational efficiency and administrative leadership across Colleges of Education in Ghana. The College was among twenty (20) Colleges of Education that benefited from the allocation of Toyota Prado vehicles at a handing-over ceremony held at the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) on Friday, 19th December 2025. In December 2025, the Management of Wesley College of Education, in line with the College’s traditions and cultural values, paid a courtesy visit to the Tafo Palace as part of activities marking the festive season. BRIEF HISTORY OF WESCO Wesley College of Education, Kumasi, was established by the Methodist Church when in 1918 the Synod of the Gold Coast Methodist Church decided to relocate the training of the Church's workers from Cape Coast and Fourah Bay to the Kemp buildings in Aburi in the Eastern Region of Ghana.  At the Kemp buildings, the church started training Ministers and teacher catechists under the tutelage of Rev.
