The Social Sciences Department offers an undergraduate degree programme which includes elective and core courses taken by students from different departments in the College. The department comprises Social Studies, Geography and Religious and Moral Education.
The social sciences department has produced thousands of students over the years and because of its versatility, its students are found everywhere in the world across field.
The Department has excellently played its role in training competent teachers for schools in Ghana for the past years. The fact that we are still standing on our feet shows that we have withstood the stress and strain of our mission as a department. We have chalked successes in the face of real challenges and therefore, there is a need for us to celebrate our hundred years of existence by producing quality training for basic and junior high school teachers.
There is a need for us as a department to take a reflective look at what we have done in the past years to inform and guide how we can proceed in the future.
