WESCOPA’98 Alumnus, Dr. Eric “Phila” Boamah, Appointed to New Zealand’s Archives Council
It is with immense pride that I share this wonderful news with you.
One of our own, Dr. Eric Boamah WESCOPA’98, popularly known as Dr. Phila, has been appointed to the Archives Council of New Zealand.
The Council is an advisory body to the sector Minister, responsible for the national safeguarding of archives and ensuring proper record-keeping standards. Over the next three years, Dr Phila will be the key adviser to the Minister and Government on archival matters relating to educational institutions.
This significant appointment has now been officially published in the New Zealand National Gazette.
Your hard work, dedication, and humility have travelled beyond your workplace walls, now honoured on the national stage… and in the national archives. Hahaha.
Dr, at this point, I think a full Māori Haka is in order.
Ka mate! Ka mate! Ka ora! Ka ora!
